About us

Tanya Gluvakov is a mixed Mohawk woman with family and "roots" from 6 Nations of the Grand River in Oshweken,  Ontario. She grew up in Toronto and is now spearheading projects that bring the resurgence of Indigenous medicines and accessibility to them to urban and suburban communities.
She teaches several workshops about plant medicines from the land and how connecting with them helps our well-being.

She is an herbalist, a small scale grower, a mom, a teacher, an auntie, an advocate and the founder of thhe apothecary, Roots and Raven.

Today, she welcomes clients to indulge in a variety of products and experiences that are created to help you find moments of peace and the rememberance of your connection to all things.
She grows and harvests many of the plant medicines from her own medicine garden and some honorably collected from the Land.

"Our hope is for our community members to remember that they are never alone- we are all connected to each other and to the natural world." Land is healer. Community is healing.

May these handcrafted creations and experiences help to remind you to take a moment to relax and remember your place here.
